Winner! - Medusa Baby Care Contest

March 07, 2013

Thanks for the awesome baby advice for mom-to-be Medusa! Rest assured, I'll be grabbing my sunglasses, mirror, shield, sword, and team of heroes to head over to her island in order to pass it all along.

And good news - we have two contest winners. I couldn't decide.

They are:
Penny Henriksen, who gives great baby snake hair advice, ie: stimulate and invigorate the baby hair snakes, less the baby suffer from limp, lifeless hair." Penny also warns against any tattoos or "tramp stamps" on the snake hair because, "no one wants to fight with angry, venomous, hair every day." Sound advice, Penny. It's almost like you've done this before.

Matt Shively, who warns us, "Don't let Perseus babysit, no matter how desperate you are." How practical you are, Matt.

Congrats, Penny and Matt. Both of you have now been drafted into the New Army, MASH 3063rd. Heaven help you.

Immortally Embraced Release Day Contest: Or...what to expect when Medusa's expecting.

February 26, 2013

Immortally Embraced is out today! In it, our favorite paranormal doctor faces off against a startling new enemy, a blast from her past and plenty of baby mamma drama from a pregnant Medusa.

And of course we have a kick butt launch contest to go with it. It's called What to Expect When a Gorgon's Expecting. Just post below with your best piece of baby advice for our favorite inhabitant of the isle of wrath and pain. The most amusing entry (as judged by me) will win naming rights to a character in Immortally Ever After. The top 10 runners up will win signed copies of Immortally Yours.

The contest runs from Aug 28 - March 6. Good luck!

January 31, 2013

My publisher is doing an exclusive cover release for the summer's book, Immortally Ever After. Check it out - but don't read the blurb if you don't want spoilers for Immortally Embraced (the book that's coming out next month). I mean it. Don't peek. No good can come from that.

Immortally Yours Release Contest - name a character in the next book!

August 28, 2012

Hi all! Immortally Yours releases today and to celebrate, I'm holding a fun, new contest. The winner gets to name a character in the next book, Immortally Embraced (out in Feb 2013).

How do you win? Well, I'm glad you asked. Simply check out the website for The Paranormal News Network (PNN), featured in the books.

PNN is the supernatural version of CNN, with a few exceptions. It's actually more like a paranormal version of The Onion. But it gives you a good feel for the kind of world I've created in Immortally Yours.

So, after you've visited PNN, come back here and tell us the headline of your favorite article. That's it!

*If you'd like an extra chance to win, Tweet or Facebook your favorite headline*

I'll be picking a winner on September 4. Good luck!

Contest time! Win and I'll acknowledge you in the next book!

July 09, 2012

Okay, contest time! This one is a biggie. Anyone can win and winners receive an acknowledgement in the second book of the MASH series, Immortally Embraced. Basically, I'll thank you personally and tell the world how cool you really are.

So what's the contest? Here's a cool new widget that links to an excerpt of Immortally Yours. Get it posted on five unique book blogs (or if you have another blog idea - email me at angie@angiefox.com and we'll make some exceptions). To do that, just email a blogger and ask them to post it in the sidebar. Be sure to let them know that I'll be Tweeting about participating blogs to my 14,000 Twitter followers.

First person to partner with a blog gets credit for it. Five blogs earns you the acknowledgement. Email me when you're done and I'll add you to the acknowledgements!

Announcing the Angie Fox Street Team

June 01, 2012

Hey all, I’m launching a new project that is going to be a lot of fun – the Angie Fox Street Team. Basically, the street team will be a group of hardcore readers who spread the word about my books. In turn, I offer up my unending gratitude as well as sneak peeks at new books, deleted scenes and more.

After all, did you know the number one way readers find new books is through recommendations from people they know? Basically, that’s what Street Teamers do – tell people about the books – at home, online, or both. Just think, you could be responsible for bringing the biker witches into someone’s home. We’ll just hope they behave.

As a member of my street team you’ll have my thanks, perhaps a visit from the biker witches (oh wait, I’m trying to encourage you…). And things like:

  • A chance to name a character in my next book
  • A chance to win an advanced reading copy of my summer release, Immortally Yours
  • Your own personal visit from Pirate (you provide the bacon)
  • Deleted scenes, opportunities to name locations or characters whatever book I’m working on as well as insider tidbits about books and characters.
  • An invite to my Yahoo Street Team group where we can chat about everything and anything, including fun street tactics. It’s a place where I’ll be happy to answers any questions about writing, the business, books and just about anything else that comes up.

Here are things you can do as a Street Member. It’s about whatever you feel comfortable doing. If you even do one thing, that’s all you need to do to become a Street Team member.

  • Talk the books up and share cool goodies (included in your welcome packet) with friends & family
  • Ask your local library to order my books. Give the librarians the title, name and publisher.
  • If my books aren’t on the shelves, ask the bookseller to order some.
  • Take book goodies (autographed bookmarks and super cool limited edition excerpt books) to your local stores, place them with the booksellers. You can leave them with libraries and even at coffee shops.
  • Take book goodies (autographed bookmarks and limited edition excerpt books) to your local reader group, writer group or RWA Chapter to share with other members.
  • Share your (honest) review of the books via Amazon and Barnes&Noble.com

It’s all about whatever you feel good doing, even if it’s just one thing. Joining is easy! Just visit the Street Team Headquarters.

The Real Werewives of Vampire County giveaway!

October 25, 2011

Hey, this is fun. The Real Werewives of Vampire County releases today and I have author copies. Woot!

Werewives is an anthology with Alexandra Ivy, Jess Haines, Tami Dane and yours truly. It's been getting some great buzz and it was so much fun to write a story that is connected to the demon slayer world, but definitely off on its own.

In my short story, Murder on Mysteria Lane, a werewolf trophy wife is found dead in Vampire County. Pack-mate Heather McPhee goes undercover to investigate. Heather's never been a mascara-and-manicures sort of girl, but she's willing to learn. Especially with sexy vampire detective Lucien Mead posing as her husband.

I have to tell you, it was a hoot to research this story. I had to watch many, many hours of Desperate Housewives. That show is strangely addicting. My agent tried to also get me into The Real Housewives of Orange County, but those girls were too mean. Give me the fictional housewives anytime.

What about you? Tell us if you're a housewives watcher or not and you're entered to win a copy of The Real Werewives of Vampire County!

*Oh and as a special Werewives promotion, Kindle and Nook copies of The Accidental Demon Slayer are on sale for 99 cents!
